March Bass Tournament Winners and Fishing Report Recap
The results are in for our Connect Fishing League March Bass Tournament. We would like to thank all of the anglers that participated and congratulate the winners.
1st Place: Karl Hudson
Karl Hudson from Corinth Mississippi took home 1st place in our Best 5 competition with a best 5 bag of 27.36LBS. Karl takes home $160 for 1st place.
Fishing Report: “I used a lipless crankbait in 4 to 6 foot water around grass beds. Several cold fronts moved through during the month with fluctuations in temperature and water conditions. The bass were staged and preparing to move shallow and spawn.”

2nd Place + Big Bass + Connect Fishing League Bonus: Mark Balbinot
Mark Balbinot from Canton, Illinois wins $80 for finishing in 2nd place in with 21.34 LBS. Mark also had the Biggest Bass of the event with a 6.97 LBS Largemouth Bass to take home $100 in prize money for Big Catch. Since Mark is an active member of Connect Fishing League he also took home the $50 Bonus contingency prize.
Fishing Report: “Over the course of the tournament weather varied from clear blue skies to cloudy skies with a slight drizzle. Also the wind seemed to blow every time I had a chance to go fishing. Water temps were from the low to mid 40's with stained conditions. Most fish were caught on a 3/8 oz Strike King Black/Blue rattle jig with various plastics trailers. Also caught some on a double willow spinnerbait and weightless black/blue Wave Worm. All were caught from fishing from the boat except the biggest one which was caught from the bank.”

3rd Place: Kyle Porter
Kyle Porter fishinged 3rd place and takes home $60 with a Best 5 total of 20.74 LBS.
Fishing Report: “Weather was up and down. Had only about 2 or 3 good days. Mainly used a dt6 crankbait. Yellow and black. Also used an orange chatter bait with a trailer I got from the connect fishing league over the winter.”
